Word is, just now, that USCG Vice Admiral Thad Allen will be taking over on-site management. This sounds like a good move to me, from both a logistic and political standpoint.

Update: in response to some commenters: I really think that, politically, Honore would have been a MUCH better choice. And, this situation having become so politically charged, politics accounts for much.
