Yesteday at the base theater, there was an advanced screening of the movie Constantine. I liked it for the following reasons:
1. It brought up the age old question, is the Devil real or is he a scapegoat for the guilty
2. Angels, demons, and the in between.
3. Choice (‘nough said)
4. Cats
5. If you believe in Satan would’nt you want the chance to give him the middle finger as you ascend to heaven??
I recommend it, but this is definantly not a Movie to bring your kids to, as I saw last night, but that is a rant for another time.

Try this if you have a strong tolerance…or not, it might work all the same

1. Whiskey ( I prefer Irish whiskey myself but I think any kind of whiskey would do).
2. Add some water(because you sick not f**kered-up)
3. Splash of lemon juice(or orange juice does’nt mater)
4. add in some honey
5. Mix together and heat
6. Then hang a hat on the end of your bed and drink till you see two of them.

I have a little water boiler and I put a dense glass mug in it and then fill with water and boil.
Then add the above content’s.
So far it seems to be working, so I am going to post this while I can still see straight.
Then I am going to bed.
So please cure your cold responsibly, and hide the keys.

I don’t know if it is just me, but I find Paula, Simon and whats-his-name to be rude, callous and snide. But then again some of the auditionee’s were just kinda scary. But even on my worst-tired-cold-hungry-and smelly days I don’t think I am that capapble of making people feel that bad. So is it just me??

Discuss amongst yourselves.

Re: This Weblog

I’m going to take a chapter out of my mothers’ book and tell you something; you might not like very much, but if the troll boots don’t fit, don’t worry about it. If they do fit then this is for you!

1. This is a blog that features writers from diverse backgrounds who have one thing in common ,and that is the Military: past and present.

2. We write about our lives, our families, what makes us angry, what makes us happy, and what fills us with anguish, among other things.

3. I used the blog during the war (when I could access it) to keep up on what was going on with my family, what was going on in the world (yes were carrying news and links from all over the world in it), and what was going on at home.

4. I have made amazing friends and connections from it. If I were in trouble then I am secure in the knowledge that I would have support from my blog friends and the people who are fans of this site. Case in point when I was traveling from oneside of the country to the other, there was no end to the advice and offers of places to crash on my trip.

5. At this site WE ARE A FAMILY.

In conclusion : Trolls beware, we terminate them with extreme prejudice, and all before breakfast ***burp***

Sorry about that.

Sincerely
Cpl. Blondie

In this time of glad tidings we are short an angel.
He was murdered before the holidays at the hands of his mother’s significant other.
He was 3 months shy of two.

I remember seeing him from time to time, and I will remember him as a happy, smiling baby.
I cried when I saw his tiny body, black and blue, in his little casket.
How wrong that seemed and so very unfair.
Why did this happen, How could someone do this to such a small helpless child??

This Christmas, parents hold you children tight and tell them how much you love them; because I’m sure the angel’s father would want to be able to say the same to him.

So I watched The Simpson’s episode tonight, and sadly to say I was’nt laughing…at all.
It was’nt that is was offensive but….a little over the top, and slightly mean spirited.
Oh well maybe next week will be better.

Today is a historic occasion for Marines through out the world.
Today is our 229th Birthday.
We were born in a tavern, in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, fighting and drinking, and taking charge.
And the world just hasn’t been the same since.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARINES.

18. September 2004 · Comments Off on Hot Egyptian Night · Categories: General, Military

After 9/11, before OIF I, II, III, there was a brief space in between times, when for one night in the Egyptian Desert we danced.
It wasn’t rowdy.
It wasn’t a mating dance.
We weren’t drunk.
It was just to be.
For a night we weren’t Marines, we didn’t wonder about what tomorrow might bring. Were we were going to go to Afghanistan to fight the Taliban? Iraq hadn’t even been mentioned yet. How our families were doing, when were we going to go home… How some of the natives had thrown rocks and other things at our convoys.
We danced to Latin music under the the moon and stars in Egypt. There was no arguing no, petty bickering. For one night we were free, and no one could ever take that from us.
